Let's start anew with the Lunar New YearY
It took me some time to get over the aftermath of 'O's, but I think work had done a lot in helping me to recover.
If you've not heard from me, I'm really glad to get into my top choice for JAE (Joint Admission Exercise), Apparel Design and Merchandising in Temasek Poly. It has been a "dream course" since I was a kid, and getting into the course, to me, is a self-affirmation that I'm good and the school wants me.
At work place, I've been extremely well taken care of. Most importantly, I learnt that in life, grades really isn't everything. People may already say I'm a "people person", my job scope has taught me how to communicate effectively with all sorts of people, young and old. This time round, whatever experiences I'd shared with my juniors, especially the Peer Support Leaders and Councillors on Effective Communication, was brought to the challenge, because when I'm on the phone talking to the drivers, I can't express myself with my body language, and when I'm facing them, I had to keep in mind that I'm the bridge between the drivers and the company.
The thing is, work had kept me well occupied to stop me from having pesimistic thoughts and in turn, showed me how bright my future will be. The people there are really nice people, but sadly, almost all of them will not be staying after the Lunar New Year break. Even the good drivers I'd been contacting had said their final goodbye and the warehouse is really empty. I'm still staying and stirivng on =]
So the year of the Tiger has arrived, which means my mum has stepped into the next decade of her life. It's her year and I really hope and pray for the best for her health.
The year is kicking off and the Tiger's roaring! It's the perfect atmosphere to cheer for a great year ahead.
