The 1st TreatY
Learning has never been this true and real till I step into the warehouse, working with people. Work didn't just taught me skills, it made me realise the value of kinship. It had been occupying so much of my time, having to sacrifice not just family time but also my sleep time. So every day was bluntly going to work and rushing home for a quick rest and the cycle repeated for 2 full weeks. This Lunar New Year was one which I see myself cherishing every moment spent with every single family member.
It had been awhile since I received my first pay, and taking the opportunity that my sister was back, this week was the only time I could ask for to treat everyone dinner. At 7pm, we're all at Astons at Katong, queuing for a table for 6. It was heartwarming to see how much my parents and siblings were enjoying the food and it was self-satisfying to settle the bill. Total cost for 6, including drinks: $61.90, totally worth the pinch!
