I would say I had been quite focussed during lessons in school for the whole of last week. The school was really at peace with all the other levels away for cohort camp. Though I did miss my juniors and the noise level and atmosphere, the school became really an extremely condusive environment to study in.
So just when most of us thought that yay,no more juniors to squeeze with in the canteen during breaks, the drastic decrease in number of students queing for food absolutely did not make much of a difference because half of the stalls were closed and all the uncles and aunties kinduf slacked, even the manpower tending was halved too! boohoo... =(
Anyway, I just got back from a dialogue session at Macpherson Secondary School regarding Youth Volunteerism. I had gain insights of what providing international humanitariam aid is like. Some thing interesting is that the GOH, Dr Fatimah Lateef shared her experiences and her life as a humanitarian aider, an MP and a surgeon.
Well, at the end of the dialogue session, TK councillors actually got inspired (from what I observed) and we were interacting with the youth leaders in the community and were keen on extending an extra helping hand to serve mankind.
I especially liked Dr Fatimah's wrap up, which was the principles she strongly believed in: To share what you have, to learn as though life is never ending and to live as though every day is the last day of your life. (I think i missed out 1 point, so anyone who realise it and can remember, pls let me know ya?)
