This is the last year I'm so called celebrating Thinking Day. It's definitely not some lame day ok! Some lame people actually asked me," Thinking day think what?" Well, to me, every Thinking Day is special because it's a day when brownies, girl scouts and girl guides from all over the world join our hearts to think about one other and how we can serve and help other people while keeping the Guides law, as said in our Promise.
Every year, we renew our Promise, and this promise has been kept the way it was originally for more than 100 years.
The Guides Promise: I promise to do my best, To do my duty to god, To serve my country, and help other people, and to keep the Guides Law.
Well, let's not talk about how well the contingent did or what even happened in school. But but but but but, I'd finally got the chance to take a picture (maybe not 1) with my brother!!! I mean my scout brother =D
okay, enough of HIM.
So, this year's Thinking Day Rally was very different from the 3 others I had attended for the passed 3 years because TK guides didn't just go there to be part of the audience; we participated in the performance! As part of the theme: Preventing the Spread of Infectious Diseases, we skipped! According to Ms Tan, it's suppose to give the impression that maintaining a healthy lifestyle can prevent us from infectious diseases.
Usually, Thinking Day Rally is from 1 to 5 pm. This year, it's from 9am-5pm. Somehow, it didn't feel that long. In fact, it felt even shorter than 4 hours. We were red from head to waist so we were the most "spottable" in the Indoor Stadium. And how cool is it to be able to walk around the back stage area, to lie down in the middle of the stadium, to skip in front of Mrs Nathan, to simply skip and the crowd of more than 10 000 people will scream and cheer for you?
That was definitely a total different perspective of Thinking Day Rally. I like the song item put up by Geylang Methodist Sec and CHIJ Katong Convent:
When the Colour Party took over right in front of us:
And bading farewell to the VIPs:
More PICTURES...
So it's time to leave evidences of our memories in guides...
This was taken when we were in Sec 1 =DDD Compare and contrast...

The 3 long-haired persons; I seriously feel extremely fortunate to have snipped off my long hair in Sec 2 so that I don't have to go through such TORTURE!
