It's awesome. I had a sore throat because of lack of hydration during OBS, followed by singing and teaching the Sec 2 guides their dance for East Division Day, immediately after I returned from OBS. And the sore throat got worse cus i was screaming and shouting thoughout the campfire with almost no water to sip at all. All my effort was paid off as we clinched the "Most Supportive Guides Unit Award"!!!
P.S I didn't pull strings with my brother ok... he asked his seniors (whom I don't know them and they don't know me) to walk around the campfire to observe so it's 100% fair.
5 July : Hougang Sec Campfire
The hospitality wasn't very warm in the sense that I felt that they didn't really make their guests feel comfortable around. It affected the programmes of the night as the few invited guides units were rather monotonous except for Damai Sec which eventually got the "Most Supportive Unit" Award. Not everyone "rah rah-ed" the way i expected, so I guess I would grade it as a "if you have nothing better to do then go" campfire looking at how unprepared and unwelcoming they were. However, their gateway was impressive. There's this bridge and followed by a staircase-like structure leading the way down to the campfire site.
