This gigantic convention started off as a 1-day conference 13 years ago and today, it has become such a huge event with at least 50 schools participating, including foreign schools! This 14th convention is a joinedly organised by Hwa Chong Institution (High School), Nanyang Girls' High School and Singapore Chinese Girls' School (Secondary), and the facilitating schools are the 3 schools previously stated as well as River Valley High School and CHIJ St. Nicholas Girls' School.
It was just Day 1 of the 4-day convention, well, actually 'tis 3 days as the 1st day was basically just having fun and games as an orientation to familiarize with our groups.
I'm proud to be in the all mighty FIRMINUS! Did I just used the word 'mighty'? Fine, it was exaggerated. We didn't really understand what that meant until when we had to paint a banner of our own. So Alvin, our [fac]t (aka facilitator), explained that FIRMINUS simply means firm, as I had thought. And we'd also realise this : FIRM-IN-US makes up FIRMINUS!!! That's incredibly awesome!
Day 1 had been interesting, having to meet new people (and some others I met from NYGR Youth Congress and TKGSPB Conference), played my favourite urban hike-style games in my favourite area in Singapore!
I'll try my best to snap some pictures if I can for the next few days =D Can't wait!
