I should wrap up this year by saying that it's probably the most fruitful year in my entire life, having been through so much, experienced so much, grown so much, understanding so much.
I'm glad that my family is rather closer now, though there'll still be ups and downs. I'm glad that I'm doing good in school in terms of all 3 aspects: academic, guides and council. Having opened up so much, I've met many different people and even travelled overseas without my parents. I've tried different kinds of arts and worked on my crafts. I've started to see the importance of books!
Comparing myself from last year, I've really changed, and I feel better as a person.
Thank you 2007. I'll be looking forward to 2008. Once it starts, it'll end in 2009 December, because 'O' Level is coming. Sec 3 is all about Sec 4.
So I shall enjoy the last 12 hours and 55 minutes of 2007 =) Happy counting down!

Cookies in the kitchenY
We passed by this stall which sold all sorts of baking stuff yesterday. It's at Seah Street if I'm not wrong, if not it's the next street then, anyway, just the Bras Basah area. There were so many cool baking tools, materials and ingredients! They sold huge bars of chocolates, a wide variety of toppings, sugar-made dolls, name it and they have it!
So we (or rather i wanted to) bought sugared-heart-shaped topping (comes in white, pink and red), M&Ms baking size, a can of blueberry pie filling, donut mix and a sugar-made mousie which I intend to give to Clarissa.
So I actually baked cookies today.
The electric mixer was down, again. So I had to do everything manually, alone, and I did. As I was folding in the ingredients, Mum was actually looking at me, and remarked," You look like you're doing yoga or some exercise!" "Hey, mummy! It's tiring ok?!" I complained. "That's good, you've a chance to exercise! I think I should exercise with you," Mum responded. I was a little too tired to entertain.
So there was the chocolate-flavoured and the coffee-flavoured ones.
The chocolate cookies had dark chocolate chips, white chocolate chips and milk chocolate rice in it with 2 different toppings, 1 with the little hearts and the other with M&Ms.
The coffee-flavoured ones had a light coffee fragrant, very very light, 'cause I'm not a coffee lover.
And I baked 2 big chocolate ones, with M&Ms at the base. I'm going to share 1 with my family and the other with Clarissa, Yuyi and SiYuan =)
After baking, I wanted to try whisking egg-whites into cream, like what chefs do on TV. After whisking like 15 minutes, my right arm almost got dislocated. Mum wanted to experiment baking the fluffy mixture, and it turned out to be I-don't -know-what. I thought egg-whites will turn into cream, but no matter how long I whisked, nothing happened. Then Mum suggested adding some butter. Eventually, due to some chemical reaction, everything turned watery and NO CREAM!!! Nevermind, I was a good try.
I'm planning to bake donuts next =)

Thanks, for friendshipY
To all my friends out there, before the year ends, I'd like to dedicate this post to all who knows me, even if we've met only once, or just know my existance.
Thanks for being part of my life, for every single person whom I've came across has the power to influence me, create a difference in my life. Acquaintance, ordinary friends, good friends, best buddies, regardless of the closeness of the relationship, once, you've stepped into my life, you've already affected my life in a way. middle of nowhereY
It can be really cool to be just right, I mean, neither here nor there. In a way, though I'm average at most stuff, I've a wider scope of everything. How should I put it...
Ok, I am not the top student in school or in class, and hence at this very position, I'll continue to work hard to get to the top. When one's not the best, one will either stay determined so that one can improve, or one will fall and never be better. Winners never quit and quitters never win; so by not being the first, you'll tend to try all good means to be the best.
In terms of relations, I know I'm never anyone's best friend, but I'm everybody's good friend. This is good enough, won't you agree, 'cause I've a wider range of friends. And so, I meet people of all sorts, from weirdos to smarties to stylo-milos to ah bengs and ah lians. It's a small door towards understanding what the world really is. This world is controlled by us, humans, isn't it? Be willing to understand others, put yourself in their shoes, an you'll realise that everyone is special, unique and interesting.
Well, the negative bit is just that sometimes you get lonely and unsure because, as said before, you're neither here nor there. But look at it this way, at this point of time, you'll want to set things right and find your way out of that maze, and you may discover new experiences, new knowledge during this journey out. So, it isn't that bad afterall!
I'm glad to be where I am today. I'm glad to have experience life the way it had passed. I'm glad to be just another girl who thinks. I never wanted to be the best of all best, but just among the best.

Christmas WishesY
*On this very special day I celebrate as a festival of gifts, I wish for simple happiness on earth to be understood and appreciated by all on earth.*
It's really great to be able to help people, even just by choosing gifts. Most people have headaches finding a simple gift to show their love for the special people they're giving the gifts to, and hence Angel ChiawMin *coughs* had aided 2 lost souls (Sharon and Yuyi) this festive season in this meaningful task.
I've got an adidas water bottle from 大哥(apparently he went on an Adidas shopping spree and had 2 bottles for free, pink or black for me to choose). I got him a cute looking devil-head cup cover (those rubber ones); I liked it. Anyway, thanks kor, I really like that black bottle =) *smiling till my braces shine!*
Everyone stayed up late last night, till probably around 2 this morning. We chatted, laughed, exchanged gifts (probably the first time); it was quite enjoyable, like 'yeah, our family's together', you know, that kind of thing.
And I've received 3 post-mailed christmas cards, 2 christmas notes, 3 christmas gifts and 2 more awaiting!
This year's christmas is different, in a pleasant way =)
Merry Christmas to all out there!

Breado-It!Y
Banana-Chocolaty Breado-It!
Ingredients: -1 medium size banana -Chocolate spread (Nutella, etc.)
To do: 1. Spread a thin layer of the chocolate spread on the bread. 2. Chop the banana into chunks and lay them evenly on the bread. 3. Put MORE chocolate spread on top. (NOTE: don't put too much, or it'll turn out too sweet) 4. Heat it in the oven at 100 deg.C, medium mode for about 10 minutes. 5. Best served with a bland/ light drink as the bread will turn out really really sweet.
The sugary "juice" of the banana will ooze out while heating in the oven, so it will mix with the chocolate spread, making the overall taste even sweeter. Therefore it's best served with a light/bland drink.

Christmasy OrchardY
Daddy, Mummy, my brother and I went to Orchard to check out the Christmas decorations. This year's theme for the street display is Fairytale, so the entire street look like Lala Land with many Nutcrackers and Ballerinas and snow flakes. They look so sweet and magical, and Uncle Richard had certainly did an impressive job to "dress" Orchard up. He was chatting and talking about million dollars projects like this.
Anyway, we were like walking in and out of the different malls. There were all sorts of Christmas decorations; elegant golden ones, glamorous/luxurious purple ones, snowy white ones, heat-warming red ones.
Check out some pictures:

Happy Birthday, IsabelY
Isabel organised a birthday party at her resort-like terrace house last night. She's the youngest among my batch of guides, and probably the sweetest too. Her relatives were there too, and I'd got to say, she's really got a great supportive family.
After the buffet dinner, her cousins, Samantha (her primary school pal), her 2B click and me were sitting in her home theatre watching a horror movie (chosen on purpose), Skeleton Key.
It was scary, not to the extreme, but just scary. Probably because everyone knew that it was a horror movie, some were like giggling away. One of the guys actually created a loud noise all of a sudden and obviously the girls screamed. Isabel's dad actually scared everyone by opening the door in the midst of the quiet part and BOO-ed!, all in like less than a split-second.
Well, the cake was really good, creamy but not the full-cream kind of creamy, but a little too sweet.
To do: 1. Spread a layer of peanut butter on a slice of bread. 2. Crush the nuts and chop the dried fruits. 3. Sprinkle everything else on top. 4. Heat it in the oven at 100 deg.C, medium mode until the nuts turn golden brown. 5. Once it's out, enjoy the crunchy nuts!
Berry-Chocolaty Breado-It!
Ingredients: -fruit jam spread of your choice (I used blueberry jam) -Chocolate spread (Nutella, etc.) -Chocolate chips/ chocolate rice (any kind of chocolate, as much as you like!)
To do: 1. Spread 1/5 of the slice of bread with the chocolate spread. Then another 1/5 with fruit jam, and continue on alternately. 2. Sprinkle the chocolate toppings on the top, as much as you like. (Note: It may get too sweet.) 3. Heat it in the oven at 100 deg.C, medium mode until you can smell the chocolaty-smell. (Note: Be sure that the bread is not burnt) 4. Once it's done, savour the sweet moments in your mouth!

The Golden CompassY
I met up with Sharon to catch this movie which I initially thought would make me wow about. If you actually read the papers, there's been lots of criticism about this film and the average rating was 4 stars. To my disappointment, it didn't met my expectations and hence I shall give it a 3 out of 5 stars.
Having read that book, I must say Philip Pullman is an amazing writer, unfortunately, director Chris Weitz wasn't able to turn the words into an exciting movie which I was waiting for. I remembered reading the book with great excitement, just like being on an adventurous with Lyra However, the director didn't really interpreted it that way. The movie seemed like the director was desperate to shorten the story and hence reshuffled a huge part of the story and cut away a few important scenes. As someone whom have read the book, I could understand how the story was running, but like Sharon, she was still rather lost. The other point was that some facts of the story were wrong just because the production team wanted to change the storyline to fit the entire 300+ -page book into a roughly 2 hours time limit, which kind of make the story out of place. Well, the film-makers probably focused more on the costumes and the animations of the daemons and polar bears. Sadly, I was only impressed with the Gyptians' costumes and the looks of the daemons.
I was actually waiting for the ending (according to the book), however the last few chapters were actually cut out or summarised into 1 sentence which made no sense at all.
Overall, I think The Golden Compass is fine. I won't recommend it, neither will I say it's a bad movie. I felt that my eight-bucks-worth ticket was a little wasted though. Oh, well, SiYuan's reading my book now, then it'll be passed on to Yuyi, then Sharon. I can lend it to anyone with 2 conditions : 1. First come, first served; 2. Please take care of my poor book. Though it's a little scratched and torn (because it was the last book on the shelf and I had to snatch that best-seller), make sure that state is maintained as it is, not worse, unless you know some plastic surgery which can turn my book into a brand-new-looking one (which is totally impossible -.- )

Breado-It!Y
I've been too lazy to get out of the house to buy my lunch, so today, since my brother bought a loaf of bread home, I decided to value-add the plain bread. I shall name them Breado-It!, since it's just bread and all you have to do is just to do it and after doing it you can just eat it! What you need for all types of Breado-It!:
1. An oven
2.Sliced bread of your choice (plain, wholemeal, etc.)
3.Margarine or butter.
How to make:
Oriental Breado-It!
Ingredients:
-meat floss (chicken or pork)
-seaweed
To do:
1. Spread a generous amount of butter/margarine on a slice of bread.
2. Scatter the meat floss.
3. Cut the seaweed into strips and lay them randomly on the meat floss.
4. Place small chunks or butter/margarine on top.
5. Heat it in the oven at 100 deg.C, medium mode for 10 minutes
6. Continue heating at 130 drg.C, high mode for another 5 to 8 minutes.
7. Once it's out, it's ready to serve.
Before heading into the oven.
The butter/margarine gives it a nice fragrance. Together with the seaweed, the meat floss gives a sweet taste. It's slightly crisp on the outside and soft in the inside. I personally like this a lot.
Western Tuna Breado-It!
Ingredients:
-Canned tuna of your choice (flakes or chunks, in spring water or brime, etc.)
-Cheese
-Pepper for flavouring
To do:
1. Spread a thin layer of butter/margarine on a slice of bread.
2. Scatter the tuna.
3. Place the cheese on the tuna.
4. Sprinkle some pepper on the cheese.
5. Heat it in the oven at 100 deg.C, medium mode for 10 minutes.
6. Continue heating at less than 200 deg.C, high mode till the cheese turn bubbly and the the bread turn slightly golden brown.
7. Once it's out, you can eat it!
Before heading into the oven.
The cheese produces the slight salty taste which adds flavour to the blend tuna. The exposed surface can be slightly burnt, but the tuna hiden under the cheese and the bottom of the cheese are soft and rather juicy. It kind of had a pasta feeling.
I'll be coming up with more varieties, so do stay tuned or try the above 2 flavours first while I come up wil more interesting combinations!

Class gathering cum birthday partyY
It was meant to be a surprise birthday celebration for Sharmane and Clarissa since their birthday coincidentally falls on the same day, which is tomorrow. So Astrid organised a class gathering at Qixiang's house.
What was planned to be a barbeque turned out to be indoor cooking (obviously by me again) in his little kitchen with a gigantic refrigerator due to the poor weather condition. This reminds me of the ice-cream tupperwares at the freezer. After cooking all the raw food, I thought of coming up with an interesting combination of eating marshmallow - to eat it with ice-cream - so i approached Qixiang.
me: hey, are those ice-cream for your family or us? since you've got so many, why not eat it with the marshmallows? him: oh, you want arh? take loh. but my ice-cream flavour is prawn, fish, those kind. people who heard: ewww... me: (he must be kidding, like who will believe) don't joke lah, you'all believe meh? him: really really, you go see lah. me: (went to check it out; there wasn't a single scoop of the frozen dessert, it appeared to be just as he said, frozen tiger prawns and some other seafood.) ok, you win. Astrid:(she saw me opening the tupperwares) what? not ice-cream? all seafood arh? Eeeee... me: yah loh, just when I was thinking of eating the marshmallows with the ice-cream. Astrid: Ewww... (must be thinking of frozen seafood with marshmallows...haha) Though there was no barbeque pit, we used the heating element in the small oven to peng kang the marshmallows and to our surprise, it was much faster than doing it on the pit. The fluffy candy was so tasty that Justin kept snatching them shoving into his little mouth (so cute xP). He even guarded at the kitchen entrance to help get the marshmallows, not to circulate around but to put them in his mouth; you should have seen, his mouth was full with white stuff and he was still chucking in more!
The food was great. There was $50 tray worth of fried rice, baked chicken wings, hotdogs, cheese hotdogs, taiwan sausages, garlic bread and the birthday cake, of course. They bought some 30+ cans of JollyShandy too, but we also had packet drinks.

awakened by the BEEPY
I'm so lucky again, the CPU's being kind to keep me accompanied I guess, therefore it's working smoothly! I didn't really wanted to wake up before 7.30 in the morning, but out of the blue, this irritating horn/beeper of a car parked at the car park by my block was sounding like &%$#!@#$^^%&$!@#&* !!! It went off like "BEEEEEEEEEE..." and the "...EEEP" didn't come until about 10 minutes later. What's worse is that the car park is enclosed by 2 long blocks (an L-shaped one and the other being what seems like a J-shaped one to me), therefore amplifying the noise. I guess the owner had some problem handling his car... just, be more considerate, I know it was unexpected for you, and I'm glad you worked it out within 10 minutes.
And I just realised that I'm alone again. What's the point of staying at home all day sometimes? I can't possibly reflect the entire day right? Sometimes I really don't understand why Daddy and Mummy are against us, kids, goinging out. I'm not a techie, but THANK YOU COMPUTER FOR BEING SO THOUGHTFUL AND CARING(though you have a motherboard instead of a brain and heart to think and feel) TO ENTERTAIN ME, ALLOW ME TO DO MY WORK AND STAYING BY ME. (Sounds kind of desperate... ewww~)

home alone meY
It's such a freezing cold night right here in vulnerably small (from natural disaster) Singapore. Somewhere in a particular heartland lives a girl, A GIRL... who's supposed to be with her family in that 2-storey apartment. Sadly, she's all alone, without her parents, her sister and her brothers. Being such a thoughtful girl, she believes that they have their purpose outside, away from her. This little girl tried her luck to turn on the can-work-on-your-lucky-day CPU, and it works!
That's why this girl, a believer, is sitting right in front of the CPU and the monitor, typing all this crap using the keyboard.
Being alone at home isn't something that bad afterall. I brought the stinky damp clothes out to air, did some self-reflection, worked the computer and cleared 200+ e-mails.
Loneliness should not be anyone's fear, unless you're afraid of yourself? It doesn't make you a loney, neither does it make you sane overnight. It's probably just the best time to understand yourself better, especially if you're home alone, like me. Being by yourself at the closest or coziest place in your heart ... it may be difficult to feel the warmth within the house (especially during this cold, rainy season), but you kind of know that there's moral support and comfort around you, accompanying you. This feeling makes me want to do something for each and every one in the house, like washing the car for my dad, watering the plants for my mum, cleaning up my eldest brother's room, helping my elder brother entertain his hamsters by playing with them (which I never will; I don't like animals... sorry), and probably polishing my sister's french horn. Somehow when I was reflecting, "Me" didn't come first, it didn't even appear in my thoughts; Family was everything, and Parents came in first.
I don't know why, but I prefer to look at things optimistically, be it choices, school, family or life. I just feel a need to see things positively, and it had to be part of my life to keep me happy. Happiness is all I yearn for. A simple word it may be, but it's the simplicity in life that human beings feel treasured and satisfied.
p.s. I wish my mum is as optimistic as I am. I just want to tell her that Life is so wonderful and interesting, because You live Your own Life and it's up to You to create wonders in it. I've found miracles in my Life because of optimism and it has thus made Life more meaningful to me. I'd just like to share this special something with everyone.

Youth Congress CampY
I've finally got hold of a computer and so I can use the Internet! All thanks to SiYuan.
So from 27 to 29 November, I was at Sarimbun together with the TK Team and 12 other schools which were part of the Youth Congress. I guess it's fate or something that brought me together with PLMGSS girls again (1st being their school's Prefect Instalation Day, 2nd being TK's Investiture), and TK Team and PL were together as a group. We named ourselves BOBBY AND FRIENDS because our name had to start with a 'B' and Bobby was our instructor's name... haha
Day 1: We had 2 workshops and 1 team-building activity in between.
The 1st workshop was kind of an energizer, to inspire us and let us understand more about peer mentoring, mainly with the story of Derek Redmond.
We did Trust Fall for team-building, which was kind of fun yet scary and I accidentally scratched Bobby and Mr Pang of PL. Unfortunately when it was Mr Pang's turn to fall, we didn't really got hold of him and his back hit the ground (sorry...)
Our 2nd workshop was nurturing peer mentoring skills which I find very useful and inpiring not only as a leader, but also as a person; it's more than just a mentoring skill, but a life skill which can help make this world a better place to live in if everyone was to understand. If you are able to build up positive relationships, listen empathetically, encourage positive action and advise on avenues for help, you're really the rare mankind on earth, and you shall be treasured.
Basically, we just did a lot of preparation for our 3rd day's presentation at night, mainly on our powerpoint slides.
Day 2: We had 1 workshop and a lot of FUN!!!
This workshop was on Project Management Skills. Our task was to please this "Princess Abu Dhabi". She had 4 precious golden pearls and would like to have a float to display them. We had to submit a proposal and after seeking her approval, construct this float. After going through all the thick and thin, the results were out and the TK Team managed to win the "Princess's" heart, and so, was rewarded with Holy Water (aka Coca-Cola)!
After lunch, we proceeded with PL for our High- and Low-elements. This was the time when TK and PL really got bonded, cheering for each other when they were frightened or facing difficulty.
Immediately after our quick dinner, TK and PL quickly met up to prepare for our cheer and performance for the campfire. This got us even closer as we shared our own knowledge and merge everything together, which turned out wonderful!
Night time was the CRAZIEST of all, probably the craziest night I've ever enjoyed in my entire life. We were all cheering and laughing and dancing? Yes, dancing! I was sabotaged to represent BOBBY AND FRIENDS to join the Blind-fold-and-anyhow-Dance game. Guess what, I've never shaked that madly in front of a big crowd before and that was definitely a great experience never to be forgotten. Crystal mentor was with me as well. She was the last 4th remaining and I was 3rd! Even after the official closing of the campfire, we wanted more! Everyone was haunting," WE WANT MORE! WE WANT MORE! WE WANT MORE!" So the camp chief asked," Wah, not tired arh? Want more isit? We really have nothing left. What do you want?" The super enthu Ants group shouted," DISCO! DISCO!" And that's what we got, DISCO! Our mentors didn't allow us to join at first, saying that we'd go uncontrollable and it'd be difficult to explain to Mdm Halilah. But in the end not only we were running wild, even the mentors joined in! Now I understand why people enjoy that kind of night life, it's beyond words of description.
Though we were all exhausted and sleepy and almost fainting, we braved till about 1am to complete our presentation. Crystal even skipped her dinner for us, how touching! talking about that, I suddenly recalled that Mdm Halilah brought Munchy's Donut from the "main city area" that evening, and Uncle Lawrence brought Roti Prata!!! TK's really fortunate! Oh, and the instructor tried to tease us so as to win a donut. He was like," Wah, so many donuts, very fattening you know?" Somehow, in the end, our mentors let 2 instructors have 1 each. Count them lucky, I guess.
Day 3: Shit! I mean really, my stomach wasn't on my side, kind of like going against me. So I didn't join everybody else who were having morning exercise and team-building games.
After breakfast and the final touches for our presentation and it was time for showcase! Our team did relatively well, with the starting that I'll never forget which goes : bullying! NO! ; Bullying! No! ; BULLYING! no! and the powerful ending : the bullies actually tapped on the victims' shoulder, extended their helping hands, helped them up and gave them a GREAT BIG HUG!!! When the results were announced, the TK Team won the Best Presentation title!
After Break Camp, PL and TK insisted that we had to stay and do our cheer 1 last time. And so we did, with our mentors. We also sang the "We love you..." song to Bobby (who's having his last camp as a camp instructor) and our mentors (or rather, mentos THE FRESH-MAKER)...lol. We even came up with a clap for everyone! Bobby had 3 claps, all the bimbo ones...hehe
This camp was really enriching and memorable. It's not as if you'll have a chance to attend a camp with all the enthusiastic leaders hiong-ing and chiong-ing throughout, so the spirit was there, the fun was there, the memory naturally came along.
